According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Aldon Smith will be reinstated in March if he doesn’t mess up before that in the drug program. The former first-round pick, who had 33.5 sacks over his first two seasons needs to be on the field, because the Raiders have a stacked team.

Smith is currently serving a year-long ban for violating the league’s policy on substances of abuse. He applied for reinstatement back in late October, but that decision was deferred by the NFL in December.
